A fitness bootcamp is designed to provide physical training for people. The program is directed and monitored by experienced physical trainers, gymnasium staff, as well as certified bootcamp instructors. The aim of a bootcamp is to help people maintain their health; improve general physical wellness, body balance and flexibility by performing numerous, varied exercises. People who wish to lose weight have seen spectacular results from health and fitness bootcamps. Specialty health and fitness bootcamps focusing on narrower needs exist for senior citizens, overweight urban dwellers, pre and post-pregnancy and specific sports.
What is circuit training?
Circuit training’s purpose is to keep you active, only allowing very short breaks between different exercises. A particular exercise is called a “station”. Usually you jog or walk fast between stations; creating a circuit of exercises. If you absolutely must catch your breath, you take 10 to 20 seconds to walk between stations. Constant activity of varying levels is one of the hallmarks of circuit training.
A circuit training routine is different from other routines in which you may have participated. For example, it differs from exercises targeting one or two specific set of muscles and increases the fatigue factor of those specific muscles by increasing the number of repetitions. Increased repetitions increase the workout intensity. On the other hand circuit training, is extremely effective because you continually push your body aerobically, challenging your stamina and strength.
Circuit training benefits.
Primarily, it allows a fitness bootcamp instructor to mix various exercises, for example, flexibility while working your aerobic system simultaneously with strength. Since you are continuously advancing through the workout circuit, your heart rate stays up, therefore seeing the same benefits as the exerciser who mindlessly logs all those treadmill miles. You will be constantly challenging your mind, along with your body, which greatly decreases boredom.
Secondly, due to the short semi-rest sessions between the stations, the amount of testosterone produced increases. Testosterone helps your muscles develop. Unlike long aerobic routines, during which your testosterone level drops and your body starts releasing cortisol (which causes muscle tissue to break down), no single session is that long. Usually a session lasts 30 to 60 seconds. Therefore, you won’t reach the level required to start producing cortisol.
One distinct advantage circuit training has over space-extensive exercises is the circuit can be conducted outdoors or indoors. There are bootcamps which pride themselves on conducting workouts “come rain or shine” with others move from the regular outdoor setting to indoors depending on the weather and the routine for the day.
Finally, since you move through circuit training quickly, you will not spend long hours in the gym. You will be able to spend time doing things that you never seemed to have time for when the gym became your second home.
Circuit training frequency.
Since circuit training is quite intense, fitness bootcamps execute it once or twice a week; being sure to have at least one day off between circuits. For wellness progression and to keep stimulating different muscle groups, bootcamps incorporate different versions of each exercise, such as one-hand pushups or clap pushups, and burpees.
Circuit training is an individual exercise conducted one-after-another but still in a group setting. Even here the socialization increases the group dynamic of the fitness bootcamp workouts. This also nurtures mutual commonality and friendship among students. Circuit training is an outstanding but not-overly challenging routine which improves health, reduces fat and creates common experiences drawing a group together.

As well as fitness bootcamp I also do a martial arts class and sometimes we get circuit training there too – and it is extremely popular with the whole class, kids and adults.
Circuit training is a fun way of working up a good sweat, fitness bootcamp would not be the same without it!
That’s one of the best things about circuit training. You can do it by itself or you can do it as a complement to other workouts. It’s a good ice-breaker if you’re already bored with your workouts.
In addition, circuit training by itself is not boring at all. It adds variety to common workouts. Let’s take the example in this post – running or brisk walking. Can you imagine running for an hour? That will be very boring. But if you’re going to incorporate circuit training into your running, there will be variety. In addition, you will get to finish earlier because circuit training provides better results quicker.
Besides, a lot of circuit training exercises are fun. I absolutely love cable whip exercises even if I’m a girl.
